With the Reverse Engineering process, you can get a 3D CAD model directly from a real object, which can be a natural object, a model craft, an industrial product, an artwork, etc..
Depending on the geometry of the part and the results you want to achieve, MarMax uses either an anthropomorphic arm or an optical scanner to detect the surfaces of the object and construct a three-dimensional CAD model. Depending on requirements, we can produce a triangulated mesh model (STL format or similar) or a set of parametric mathematical surfaces (IGS, STEP, and similar).
